“For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:11-13).
This year has been hard and historic in so many ways, and this has still many of the challenges from the past, yet to be solved. In spite of what we feel, think and reflect on other people opinions, we still have to press on. As you do that remember that in spite of everything God’s plan for your life is still in effect. God is a present help in the time of need. If we will walk in obedience before him, he will accomplish everything that he desires to accomplish in our lives. It doesn’t mean that we should live in a bubble, but we should be careful to keep God’s promises before our eyes. God is the God of today and the future, so let’s make sure we abide in Him. Let’s learn how to call on God with our heart and let’s learn how to listen from Him. Let’s seek for God as something very precious as He has promised that all who seek Him, will find Him.
Prayer: Lord, after this hard year help me not to forget your plan for my life. There is hope in your plan, but Father, let it come with me calling upon your name and seeking after you with all my heart. Help me not to look around but look up and remember that my hope is not in what’s around me, but my hope is in you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
