God’s covenant love for His people -Day 4

Read  Psalm 103:1-22Jeremiah 31:1-34

A key principle is revealed by David at verse 17 and 18: “But the lovingkindness of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, and His righteousness to children’s children, to those who keep His covenant and remember His precepts to do them.”

David had his ups and downs and he tried to be as honest as possible with himself, the Lord and others. We need to read several times this psalm to understand what David wants to say.

We need to be assured in God’s love as it is a covenant love, it’s stronger than a marriage with the guarantee that is not going to be broken from His side. Everyone who believes and acts in its life as a believer in God need to understand that God is not only powerful, loving but also faithful. Everytime the relationship has been broken between humanity and God, always humanity failed, not God. God came in rescue, although God was the one who has been betrayed.

Friends, we can be assured that today God is the same of the time of David or Jeremiah who declared God’s covenant faithfulness. If you feel today that you are far from God and maybe you have messed it up so badly, you need to base your decisions not on your feelings, but on truth. The truth is that God is a faithful God who invented the covenant to tell us that He is serious towards us. Additionally HE has provided a way to be reconciled with HIM when we mess up. It’s through Jesus. He is the way to God. No other way. Church is not the way. Your parents are not the way. It’s JESUS.

Do you need more proof of God’s covenant faithfulness than Jesus on the cross, shouting : “Father forgive them”?

Be established in His Covenant Love for His people. It’s the Truth.

Gods covenant with man
